I posted about this project on my old blog a year or two ago and decided to share over here on my new blog. This is still one of my favorite crafts. Not only is so unique, but it is really simple to do.
Here is what you'll need:
-a book that you don't mind ripping the pages out of (I used Sister Hood of the Traveling Pants that I had already read)
-glue gun
-a piece of cardboard (I used the top from a shoebox that had boots in it, so it was large)
Directions:
I cut a wreath form out of the cardboard. Just a large circle with a hole whatever size you want in the middle. It doesn't matter if it is perfect or not as it won't be seen.
Roll your book pages into cones (not sure what else to call them). You will figure out the best way to roll them as you go along.
Hot glue them onto the wreath form and fill in the gaps until it is filled the way you want. Just play around with it until it looks the way you want. It is so fun and everyone that comes over always asks me about it. It would look really neat with sheets of music instead of a book. I think it would also look great with The Bible, but I don't think God would really approve of my ripping up a Bible :)
Here it is hanging over a window in our condo. It is so versatile!
Try it out and let me know how it turns out :)
