Hello blog world!! I have taken a little break from blogging due to the holidays and have focused my time on family. I am so excited because my mom is here this week and we are having so much fun doing what we do best...shopping! We are going to go to Abilene tomorrow to see more family and I can't wait!
We have given out all of our Christmas gifts so I can now share some of what we gifted.
I wanted to make a few things so the gifts were personal.
One of the gifts I made this year were stenciled canvas bags.
These are so easy and fun as well as inexpensive to make.
Here is what you'll need:
-Canvas bag (got these at Michael's for under $5)
-Fabric paint (it works a lot better with paint intended for fabric)
-Stencils of your choice
-Something to paint with (I like the foam brushes)
All you have to do is place your stencil in the desired place (I used tape to secure it down) and paint in the stencil. Doesn't get much easier than that does it??
How cute are these bags? They make great gifts and what woman doesn't love having multiple bags...they can be used as a purse, a Bible study bag, a great bag for a teacher, and the list goes on.
I loved this chandelier stencil! I may have to make one for myself :)This butterfly stencil was really cute to me too and I liked how it is kind of off-center...a little unexpected.
These are so fun to make and there are so many ways you can personalize them.
It would be fun for a girl's night to have a little craft to do.
Stay tuned for another homemade gift!
