I follow Stephanie Nielson's blog and have for quite some time: NieNie Dialogues
Long story short, Stephanie and her husband were in a tragic plane crash and 80% of her body was burned. Her husband's body was burned as well, but not near as badly and he had some other major injuries as a result of the crash. Before the plane crash, Stephanie blogged about her happy life, marriage, children, Mormon beliefs, and so much more. She already had a huge following, but after the plane crash she has gained so many more fans and has been on Oprah, The Today Show, and others. Her story has impacted so many people as well as mine. I was so glad to know she was writing a book about the crash and how she dealt with it.
She now has 5 children (one being a new addition after the crash) and to read how her kids dealt with seeing her for the first time nearly 5 months after the plane crash was heart breaking. Some of the children refused to even look at her because her burns completely disfigured her face.
I'll stop there.
You must read this book! It will fill you with all kinds of emotions while also reminding you to be thankful for your family and to cherish every.single.moment you have with them.
Let me know if you read it!
